Kouten
The Kouten (Japanese: 鋼天, Steel Heaven) is a mobile weapon model that appeared in Front Mission 5: Scar of War. It is produced by the Kirishima Heavy Industry in OCU Japan and was armed with a cannon, rifle, shotgun and missile launcher.
Its first and so far only appearance is in Alaska USN Radiation Research Complex, when Morgan Bernard showed himself alongside Glen Duval.
Kouten has extremely high HP and firepower. It is equipped with a quarter cannons, consisting of four sub-cannons, each of which fire one round when the pilot used them. It used hover as its main way of movement.

Trivia
- Kouten is one of the few mobile weapon models that occupy spaces larger than 2 x 2 blocks. The others are ISV09A-S Mobile Fortress from Front Mission 2, Xiandyu 2 from Front Mission 3 and Bogomol from Front Mission 4. It should be noted that all of them except Kouten appeared in the final missions of their respective installment.
- In its debut, Kouten broke the record of highest HP in the main series, at 14462. It is currently still holding this honor.
